Help! Can anyone identify this plant?

hey, I've just moved into a house and finally have a garden... I've been given this plant but have no idea what is it, so Im not sure where to plant it what I can do with it... Can anyone help Please?

    Difficult to identify but is far too small to plant out so grow it on and overwinter in the pot.  Best to put it in an unheated greenhouse or coldframe if you have one, otherwise put the pot close to a wall of the house.  Come spring and it should have grown a bit and it will be easier to tell what it is.
