Strange beetle
I have noticed a black beetle in the garden today with wings and gangly orange legs , should I avoid it. Thanks

No that isn't it , I felt the need to avoid it just because of the legs . Thanks for that Alan
Sounds a bit like one of the ichneumon wasps - harmless to us and our gardens. They parasitise other insects.
Was it anything like this?
