Garlic
in Fruit & veg
I decided to try grow some garlic and planted some garlic cloves 2 weeks ago. They have already sprouted about 2 inches. Is this normal? or have I planted too early??
Thanks

Hi it's normal for them to grow straight away, don't worry.
hi logan//annal115 I put my garlic in Tuesday over 100 used a dibber to make holes then put segments in hoping for a good crop next year as wife is putting garlic in the chutney (logan if you lived in my area would give you some) as I know you like it we have had rain this morning so no more muck spreading today ,,emptyied g/house but kept my 4 grafted plants 2 chillis//2 peppers //to be honest not as good a crop as I have had of normal plants will try and se how they go over winter cover if I have to go to garden to check over then tell boss lady we can go shopping for her w//aniversery 7yr
Michael mpc,yes I'd like some of them. Use them most for cacaroles and fried red onions and chillies. I do make some cucumber and chilli chutney. Didn't do well with my cucumbers this year so had to buy some for the chutney. Monty trial with grafted plants and normal plants and there wasn't any difference between the two.
hi logan yes I am inclined to agree with you about grafted plants I managed to get one of my own plants not grafted seeds)) for chilli to have enough seeds for next year so if the grafted don't survive not to worried have other seeds we went to Tesco today and wife got 4 cues for more relish for home bit daft when I gave away loads
still it willnot go to waste Michael
Thanks, will stop worrying then and plant more at the weekend
