  • I assume Redwing that the trees are outside in Summer.  Take a tip and buy yourself a moisture probe.  The plants are technically self watering and you may not need to water them all winter after you have given them their winter feed.  Just push the probe to the root ball and see what you find.  It will be interesting to hear what others have found regarding moisture.  Mine are gettind two buckets of feed over the next year one in a month and the next in spring.  No other water will be given to them.  I am interested in your comment about liquid seaweed this sounds like a very good idea, I will look further into this one and I think the folier feed will be a goer too.  If, as I believe, they absorb moisture through their leaves then it seems obvious to feed them this way also.  Time and patience will tell its own tale.   ~   Clive
