Garden grass Dying
Hi im Hoping somebody can help it seems our grass is dying? We moved in last Nov and during the winter months are garden had Moss growing all down the fence side, this area doesn't seem to get any sun during the winter months and the drainage is poor.
This spring I aerated the grass and swept sharp sand into the holes then grass seeded. The lawn has been great all summer but the last month or so I've noticed patches where it looks like it's dying? And it's starting to get boggy again.
Any advice? I'm tempted to rip up the grass down the left side and plant some plants as this happened last winter.

I'd be tempted to do as you suggest and have a nice wide shady bed along that side - there's loads of lovely plants that would be very happy there - dig in some organic matter to encourage worms and improve the soil structure first.
Nice to see you have some 'help' in the garden

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Haha yes she's been helping digging away at the dead grass.
Possibly some leatherjacket damage too, but the wet conditions are the most likely reason. Perhaps it's time for a rethink. An opportunity to have some lovely shrubs - as you've already considered.
It can be much nicer than just having a patch of grass - year round colour and interest if you choose well. Often easier to manage rather than constantly trying to get grass to grow in a less than perfect site
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Does your dog urinate on the lawn?
Yes but we usually get the watering can out where ever she's been
