Roots from flowering quince

My established flowering quince is to the top of our 8 foot wall but the root system is spreading and coming up between the patio tiles. I am concerned that as it is within 6 feet of my house that the roots may cause damage to the house and to the garden wall to which it is attached. Should I cut it down and put rootkiller on it?

Nah, it'll never be that big or damaging. Impressive though it sounds, it's a shrub of good proportions, not a tree with huge and searching roots.
