    That was fast, thanks :)

I have an awful habit of planting things and forgetting what they are called.

    Hello Laura,

    Yes, they are Sedum spectabile.

They are very attractive to bees, hoverflies, butterflies and all other beneficial pollinators image and a valuable bit of late colour in the garden.

I have seen lots of delightful little visitors, its a keeper indeed!

Whilst I am on, i have just bought a small celosia plant as I  they were in my flower crown for my wedding and I want to plant them to remind me of this.

where do you recommend I plant this? image

    thanks, Laura

Celosia like a south or west facing, sheltered position in full sun in moist, well-drained soil.

They do not tolerate frost, so you will need to bring it in to a greenhouse/conservatory/bright windowsill for the winter.

Oh so it can be an indoor plant too?

I am in Scotland so I'm not sure it will be great in the garden then.

    thanks,

It wont survive in the garden up here Laura........in a good summer you could plunge the pot into the soil and lift it out for the winter.
