I'd really appreciate a bit of advice here. I've just taken a few cuttings and I wondered if they could be replanted to grow new plants And if so, how? Total novice!
It looks like you have some sort Rudebekkia, lavender and maybe a type of helenium. You can propagate in different ways. The Ruddies grow easily from seed or if you have a clump you can split them now and replant. I think the same goes for the helenium, not ever grown them from seed.
The quickest way for the Lavender is stem cuttings. All of these can be propagated easily but just not the way you tried
If you leave the ruddies and the helenium standing, you'll be able to collect your own seeds from them. The seeds will be in the centre of the flowers, just need to wait until they dry out
Verb bon will tend to seed around anyway, Sam. You can pot up little plants - they don't mind at all being shifted. They'll be big enough next year to plant out or pot on till bigger. Easy from cuttings too though
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Thank you for responding, I'll purchase some seed of each of these
I think the purple one is Verbena bonariensis. Propagate from seed or take cuttings from unflowered side shoots.
Rudbeckia and helenium from seed or split plants in spring.
Ah, I see thank you
