Solent Wind's garden adventure

After a false start in the spring, and some time out it's all systems go again, just a little slower than originally planed (doctors orders)

The garden is now partially cleared and the new greenhouse and potting / tool shed are up if not yet in full use.

  • The new greenhouse, shed and a new fence as can be seen we did get some of the brambles and rubbish cleared from this end of the garden nearest the house before I had to stop work and I now have a beautiful lawn of couch grass and young nettles image

well, you've got the important things dnnd greenhouse. That'll keep you out of mischief for the winter.image

    Devon.
  • At last some good weather and been able to get in the garden, been having a good look around and playing with string and the hose pipe bits of paper and pencils image the neighbours probable think I have gone completely mad.

I have a few ideas now of how I want the garden to look, no plants appeared over the summer worth keeping so everything will go except two beautiful magnolia trees and what looks to be a old mulberry tree.

The weather man says we are in for a few more good days so I'm off to buy some spray paint to mark out the flower beds tomorrow.

Lucky you to have these trees in your garden. . . . flowers to look forward to later.

Some good weather will let you get on with clearing and planning too.

Hello Solentman, seen you on the Forkers thread. Great shed and greenhouse. How is the garden coming along?

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
