My pear tree

image I was wondering if anyone could help me identify what's wrong with my pear tree. I've had the tree about 6 years. It's planted in a little area with Apple, Plum and a Cherry Trees.

However, it's the only one which has this nasty leaf infection and though it blossoms every year. It produces no fruit.

Does anyone know what's wrong and how I can make my pear tree better?  I'd hate to loose it.

  • Those stains are rust

    And much dicussed.

    This site has seen

    That good hygiene

    Is much the best way

    To clear it away.

    So don't despair

    You'll keep your pear!

Clear up the stained leaves, dispose of them by burning or whatever, but not on the compost heap. Sprays are inneffective, we've found, but looking after the tree, keeping it well fed and watered are the best remedies.

Pears need a pollinator, in addition to your rust problem.

Based in Sussex, I garden to encourage as many birds to my garden as possible.
