ID on fragrant shrub please

    Well this post happened at just the right time!  I was going to post a picture of mine to ask what it was. I had forgotten the name. Mine has been in for some years now and has just flowered for the first time.

    I first discovered this plant when I passing the entrance to a car park where I worked, The perfume is lovely.

    I do need to get mine cut back or I will not be able to get into my toolshed.

    I had to get two men to remove my old Mahonia last year as it way to near the fence.

    It was a devil of a job. I have now replaced it but I really miss it in the winter.The yellow flowers were lovely and the birds love them It must have been in in nearly  thirty  years.
