    Ah Ha! I thought I had spotted a thread on these wretched things some  time ago but did not follow it up.

    I have also resorted to cutting off the bags, particularly in B & Q bedding plants. I  also found the plants in them unable to take up water and  generally wilted.

    I gave up putting used tea bags on the compost heap some time ago as the wretched bags blow about the garden even after being composted for a year .  I certainly CBA to debag all the tea bags we use in a day.

    The B & Q pelagoniums and surfinas themselves have been very good once debagged. I really love those  veined surfinas. I hope they have them in stock this year .

    I buy very few plants that might be grown this way. but the ones I have bought, have been released into captivity right away  image

    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    I don't buy any full priced plants in B&Q for that reason. I check out the sin bin though and release them before planting.

    In London. Keen but lazy.
