What are they?

My cactus flowered earlier in the year, but is now producing pink growths - anyone know what they are?

  • Thank you.  How do I go about propagating them?

  • When the seed ripened on mine, I spread it over a fine sandy mix in a seed tray, under glass. It came up like a green haze and slowly transformed into hundreds of tiny baby cactus. I was amazed. I did sow in late spring, so you may have to keep the seedpods for a while.

  • Cactus seeds are easy to grow from seed, just don't let them get too wet for any length of time. They will tolerate short periods of dryness. Baby cacti are cute!
