Unhappy Choisya - help needed
I have 2 Choisya Ternarta - 'Brica'. They have been put into large pots just a few months ago and initially both seemed to settle in well. One is now looking very poorly. It is wilting and the colour is draining from its leaves. It has been attacked a little with something eating the leaves too. The healthier one is starting to look as though it may be starting to have the same problem. There has been a lot of rain lately, I mixed the compost with fish, blood and bone before planting. I don't know if this is pest related, too much water or too little water. Any help would be welcomed.

Are they in a soil based compost, or just multi purpose?
Also, have they been allowed to dry out totally at any time.? Once dried out in a pot, it can be hard to get them properly moistened again. Rainwater alone is unlikely to keep them well enough watered during summer conditions too.
If they're in a sunny sight, they may need a bit of shade. They're fine in some sun if the soil doesn't get too dry, but they get a bit anaemic otherwise.
It could be one of a few things, so if you can rule those out, it's a start
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I don't think choysia ternata will do well in a pot. They are better planted in the ground as they grow into large shrubs.
If you want a choysia in a pot go for the much smaller, slow growing Aztec Pearl.

Thanks everyone, clearly these are not supposed to live in pots. I don't have space to plant them out, so the only option seems to be to find replacement plants that are happy to live in a confined space. BW
