At the risk of sounding rather haughty, I stick by the original i.d. for this rose postulated by some of us here.

From my experience it's not always advisable to trust too much in administrative staff at either Austin's or Beales, as it is unlikely to get escalated further to a senior Rosarian. I have had disputes with both companies and it can be quite exasperating... in one case with Austin's, it took a whole year for them to admit they were sending out the wrong rose, due to an error in the fields. Beales can be quite coy about the i.d's of some of their roses..

Otherwise, it would be nice to know more about the rose, such as scent, foliage, thorns, where obtained, and how long it's been growing, how tall is it, does it need staking...etc etc..

Hopefully Christine will be able to get a definitive answer to her question.

    Thank you very much.

The rose owner bought it as a mini rose and it grew into big flowers after one year In a big pot. She couldn't explain what happened and hasn't managed to propagate her plant from cuttings.

I checked out Peter Beales website but didn't have any luck there. Will send them an email and see if it gets anywhere!
