Flowering Ivy
in Plants
Hi can anyone tell me how long ivy flowers for as I have a garden full of wasps (and bees but they don't bother me) at the moment taking full advantage of the flowers. Have already been stung so feeling a little nervous to say the least. We have lots of hedging and this is where it is growing. Thanks.

Two months max usually. Very, very good for the bees.

DianeH: Quite a number of garden birds will be attracted to the (black) ivy berries over the late Autumn & Winter months - blackbirds, pigeons, even redstarts as they migrate through Britain. Keep you eyes peeled & you may get some 'welcome' visitors!!
Thanks all - ok will have to put up with the wasps for the sake of the bees and local/migrating birds! I have plenty of sedums in my garden and still lots of flowering cosmos so lots of happy bees (and unfortunately wasps too!!).
