I like the plant but my soil is too rich so all I get are big, glossy leaves and never any flowers. I've given up now and just enjoy the foliage which is a good foil for airier plants.

It hasn't been a problem yet but the warm wet winter has given it ideas of world domination. I was concerned that I'd given it a bit of assistance by spreading bits of root about. I'll have to keep an eye out for plantlets
i had the same problem with mine, it's a bit of a thug so I dug it out. The roots are so strong and deep its difficult to get rid of it. Had new plants springing up ever after. I've seen a white version of this, does anyone know if that's as aggressive?

It's not my problem anymore! Moved house since then, I almost included it on the fixtures and fittings list!!
