Yellow Queen Aquilegia seeds

I've been harvesting seeds from my Aquilegia for a few weeks but the last few aren't shiny and black like all the others their brown does this mean their no good?

It's hard to tell from the photo but if the seed pod was dry and the seeds were loose that's as good as they'll get. Whether they're viable or not is another question. If all your other aquilegias are varieties of Aquilegia vulgaris then these may look different, the species is A. chrysantha.
