salvia maraschino pruning

Hi I am in the process of moving some plants and have had a salvia in a large pot for several years. It has grown one sided toward the light and I wonder if it can be pruned to give it back some uniform shape and new growth when I put it in a new position? Any advice on when and how would it be best pruned very much…

I have the blue note in a bed, I only planted it a year ago and it survive the winter, do you think I should wrap it in fleece? I didn't know it was tender. it is in a very sheltered spot next the a south facing wall
