Laburnum tree and roses in same bed
hi,
i would like to get a broom laburnum tree for my garden. in the front lawn I have a circular bed that has some roses in it, can I plant the laburnum in the middle and have it surrounded by roses? I really ask as I read that you should not feed a laburnum tree with fertiliser, obvioulsy roses are the opposite and need a lot of food! would this plan work?

Hi Craig
Not sure which tree you mean. A broom is a shrub, a laburnum is a tree . Or do you mean this one

Or are you talking about one of my favourites, the Mount Etna Broom, Genista aetnensis?
