Loving Wyevale, no really.

A friend told me that Wyevale had A. Bowers compost on offer at 75% off.
Went over this morning picked up some MPC reduced from £5.99 to £1.79.
Paid for them whilst Hubby loaded them into car and the cashier told me they had Miracle Gro fruit and veg compost reduced from £5.99 per 50L bag down to 50p a bag.
Quickly got refund on MPC and bought all 46 bags for £23.
Saved £252.54
I asked if it was a nationwide offer ( thinking of you guys ) She wasn't sure , but worth asking if you have one locally.
Brooks Wyevale Bude is the name to mention if they ask where you heard about it.

After seeing all the negative publicity about Wyevale, I thought I'd stop off and have a look rather than continuing on to my usual independent. I'm sorry to say that the comments seem justified.
I was particularly unimpressed with the you've-got-to-be-joking prices and quickly learnt not to bother double-checking in case I had misread them.
I left empty-trolleyed.

The plants were shockingly expensive. They were asking £9.99 for a canna not even 12" / 30cm tall. It's September for flips sake, they should be virtually giving them away now.

I hope the J. Arthur Bowers offer is nationwide, 75% off was well worth it , esp for potting up bulbs and stuff.
