Exciting! Will look out for it! What's the story with it...?

My garden and I live in South Wales.
  • Has it flowered jad1?  I will have to wait until tomorrow to see the programme. We have grown a number of agave over the years with just one flowering - it was amazing, and then the plant died!

Sadly GD that is what happens to all Agaves after they flower. They usually form smaller rosettes before flowering which then grow into the next generation.

  • Yes we have potted up rosettes over the years.  We now have a plain one and a variegated one - at the same time as ours flowered they were flowering all over the island in various gardens, and were amazing to see.

It is so impressive! I really enjoyed the programme last night and we have the antics of another cute dog to watch. Loved Monty's plant pot being 'stolen' and carried off! Didn't all the Aster family look lovely too?
