Is it possible to grow roses from the rosehips?

    only the species types, like rugosa will come true. Named varieties will produce all sorts . 

    Be prepared for a long wait before they flower. Several years.

    Hi Jacy, yes it is if you are talking about wild roses as I have done it but the results have been very disappointing. Gone were my dreams of having some lovely native dogroses scrambling through my hedge as I have just got about 6 skinny single stems and have only ever had one produce the single pink roses I am after. I may have been treating them unkindly and I am very reluctant to get rid of them as every year I live in hope image

    You could take cuttings.image

    But only the species and wild ones.image
