What a class find Wakeshine! I also saw those ridiculous Heathers yesterday: a bloke asked if they were "real" to which the assistant explained that they were real but sprayed with colour... "cool" said the customer and picked 3 up!

I also dislike artificial flowers - especially on tables in cafés or restaurants!

My garden and I live in South Wales.

B3? The parents of the children or the parents of the parentsimage.  Just let it be known that you don't like artificial.  A real Waterlily painting would look well above my fireplaceimage.

The painted pot plants might do well in the Tate though.

Yes they're definitely open to interpretation, as with most modern art. Especially the bit about 'this plant is alive and with grow through the dye'. I'm not sure how something 'grows through dye'.

As can be seen these plant leaves were falling off presumably due to the dye!! The alternative should  read 'these plants are dying due to dye'.

  • Dying due to the dye just about sums it up wakeshine.

Plenty of paint sprayed heathers at our GC today.

  • Indeed GD.

I saw the spray painted heathers today that lots of people have mentioned! Couldn't believe it but I think these dyed succulents are definitely worse!image

    All pretty badimage

the first time I saw the dip dyed heathers I thought they were plasticimage

    In the sticks near Peterborough
  • Yes they look surreal don't they?  I couldn't believe that anyone would be so daft as to buy them - but our son-in-law bought half a dozen - I had to bite my tongue not to say anything - he is just beginning in the gardening world. Needless to say the heathers  grew out of the spray colour so the plants were bright fluorescent colour for the first few inches and then green on the top few inches. Oh dear - least said ........

  • I also did not think the dyed heathers were real. GD so it's him keeping the heathers in supply! At least they grew out of the colour eh. Glad they survived. I do not think the succulents here will make it image
