Pear tree disease!
Hello all,
Earlier this summer, the leaves on my pear tree started to go black. ,My local garden centre suggested that this was probably due to a lack of nutrients from being in a pot - so they gave me some nutrient feed pellets. I've been feeding it that since June, every 6 weeks or so.
The tree has now developed these brown "lesions", which you can see in the picture.
I planted the tree 3 years ago.
What is causing this? And how do I address it? Any helpful advice would be very welcome indeed!
Many thanks

It's scab. Will spread to the fruit and even the young twigs, which will split. Remove the affected leaves and dispose (burn). Clear up the fallen leaves, too, because fungal spores will rest on them and re-infect next year's growth. No chemical control, really, but good hygiene and keeping the tree well fed and watered are the most effective measures.
