Well now uploading works for me could I have IDs on the two above please. Left hand is a shrub next is a perennial.

Your perennial is Gillenia trifoliatus but I'm not sure about the shrub.
Shrub might be kolkwitzia amabilis
The first one might be forsythia. It does look a bit like Lonicera Maackii too, so it's probably neither! Does it flower?
I think the first might be a Forsythia too.
neither the spent flowers nor the stems are those of forsythia or a lonicera
could be the kolkwitzia or maybe one of the deutzias

Dave, the shrub (number 1 pic) is what people have named as Kolkwitzia. The second is definitely Gillenia trifoliatus.
