Acer problems

If my acer has got wind scorch,really bad,do i have to cut it all back,repot,and move to a shaded area

    Hi Glynney. I wouldn't do anything so drastic. The leaves will be dropping naturally soon. Each year I do notice a bit of die back on some of my acers' shoots but I don't do anything until growth starts again in the Spring, then I just nip out the dead tips. Some acers prefer a slightly more shaded position - especially the golden leaved varieties.
