    If there are any worms in it (which is unlikely) yes they will die off if they're left in a sealed plastic bag full of horse s*** :)

    Worms will live in a bag of compost for a long time. Almost all bags have some holes in them even when they are not obvious to us.

    The main reason for asking is that the supplier gets busy in September so I was trying to work out if I could get the bags now before the rush.

    I have a plot on a 300 x 300 metre site and he is in demand

    I have had about 5 separate deliveries from him and some bags had worms and some not and GW members have given me lots of info over the last few years

    I had 4 ton delivered in bags last october most of which I used straight away. I kept 3 bags that I  made some air holes in for use this year and put them  in a sheltered shady spot and whilst it's gone a little bit slimey, it's still smells ok.
    I'll be starting my fitness regime soon to get ready for another 4 ton this october to barrow 200ft up the garden.
