    Experimented with the recipe above (thanks Doveimage) hope they'll be okay...don't think I left enough ullage as the lids popped off in the ovenimage

    We picked the very first of our four pears earlier in the week and had it with our breakfast this morning - probably needed a little more ripening, but delicious nevertheless image
