Fuschia "cherry" thingies

Please can someone tell me what the cherry looking things are which are appearing on my fuschia once flowers die?  Are they seeds?  Should I just cut them off?  Help please.

seeds yes, you can leave or cut off. I expect most serious fuchsia growers cut them off .

    In the sticks near Peterborough
  • Yes, the seed pods often called Fuchsia Berries - they're edible

  • It's probably more accurate to say they aren't toxic, Dove!  image

  • If you leave them on they will stop flowering, best to pick them off ,as long as you keep taking them off you Fuchsias will flower well into autumn

I have friends who enjoy them in fruit salads image

One of them said, "Yes indeed- I always think they taste like slightly anaemic cherries. If I could source enough of them I'd try making fuchsia jam or jelly."
