Fruit Bushes

I inherited a very overgrown allotment last year which had numerous fruit bushes scattered around, I moved them in February '15 whilst they were dormant and they all survived fine. Last year they did ok but this year they've cropped tremendously.

I'm now in a scenario where I will be leaving my allotment but if possible I don't want to take the bushes with me. Rather than dig them up again is it possible to propagate them and if so when is a good time of year to do this?

  • I have a few months, so I will try this method of taking cuttings.

Would pinning a low hanging branch down into a pot of compost work too like runners with strawberries?
