I really hope I get an idea deom someone. This is our kitchen extension excavated out of quite a steep hillside. Its planted with something green and bambooey looking and after the summer being strangled by next doors horrible bind weed stuff....... It looks a mess. Its not the sunniest spot as the window looks out west ish and the house stops it getting morning sun. I LOVE colour and want to feel inspired when I look out of window. Could I put a row of small pretty trees? Flowering at different times? Any ideas anyone???????

I think that is bamboo you have there. That's going to be an issue unless you get it out.
Can you take a couple of pix outside to give us a better idea of the size of the space and what all the planting is etc?
Don't worry - there will be plenty you can do, but you'll need to address what's there first.
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
