Conifer - browning leaves

Hello all,

My poor conifers are struggling with leaf browning at the moment. They were OK last year but I'm not sure they are going to survive.

I thought it might be red spider mite as there was webbing on it so I treated it twice with a special treatment but I don't think its working.

This is the smaller conifer - no idea what type it is as it was already planted when we moved in.

The larger one is the same:

Any ideas on how to make my conifers happy would be much appreciated.

Are they in the ground or in pots?

Hello hogweed,

they are both in the ground in a small bed.

There could be many reasons why they are turning brown.
