Which is your favourite month in your garden?

Inspired by my annual time off work in September, I have a fondness for this month. The weather is often still warm and the garden is a mix of late Summer blooms with a taste of Autumn.

There are apples ready to pick, Hydrangeas drying on the stem and a hint that the Acers are about to transform into flame hues.

Would love to hear if anyone agrees or has a different favourite month...

My garden and I live in South Wales.

I agree like this time of year - somehow summer can be extended.

i also like late June when all of my hard work starts to pay off and you have the anticipation of a long summer ( one can but dream!)

  • May for me too, everything feels brand new and all my seedlings are now lush looking young plants waiting to burst into bloom.....roll on next spring....not a winter person!

  • April for me, I love bulb season! image I was a spring baby, always had birthday fall during Easter holiday image not very good in extreme heat as I'm quite fair skinned so spring suits me, full of freshness!

May for sure, the Cherry blossom and leaves on the trees start to appear. Everything is fresh and lush light green image then the lilac appears.

Months for me. . . Spring and Autumn.

  • March for me as well. The garden looks neat and ready for action so every year optimism triumphs over experience and I confidently expect that the garden will be exactly as I want it in the months ahead!
