Bugs

hi, the underneath of the leaves of my cornflowers are infested with black bugs. They don't look like the usual aphids. Any ideas on how to get rid of them? Or as we're coming into autumn just leave well alone and they'll be killed off in the cold weather?  I have mulched extensively this year with bark chippings and was wondering whether that might have caused the problem. I wouldn't worry, something will eat them. They don't look like serious pests
