pumpkin stopped growing

My pumpkin has stopped growing! The vine and leaves are huge and healthy, water drip installed, fed weekly but the pumpkin has now reached the size of a football and no growth in the last week, also now very pale colour. The seed was Patons Twin Giant. Any ideas anyone?
