Cesspit runoff field and vegtable growing
I want to place my new vegetable patch but the best location is roughly where the cesspit runoff field is. I understand that it is not advisable to plant in this area but as it is on a reasonable slope I have been thinking about putting in long raised beds.
Is there any issue with putting raised beds on ground above a cesspit runoff field?

Thank you. It is what I have been thinking although I have a worry from a building (as opposed to a growing) point of view whether it is a good idea. Still I am pleased one part of the worry has been removed.
If there are any problems with direct bacterial contamination, I think they'd be worst with salad-type leafy crops grown at ground level and eaten raw. Should be less of a problem with vegetables eaten cooked and those that grow higher up e.g. peas & beans.
