Lawn Reno

I've started to tackle the weeds (mostly dandelions and clover) but there's also moss to deal with and also I need to aerate and reseed the lawn but I'm not sure which order to do it in. I know reseeding comes last but I'm not sure I'll have time to deal with the weeds and moss by October which is when I've read is the latest recommended time to sow grass seed.
Could I apply both Weedol and the iron sulphate for moss on the same day? I applied weedol last week with a pump action sprayer but it's had no effect on the weeds, however, I did put some baby shampoo in to act as a surfactant so maybe that effected the potency?

Grass seed can also be sown in the Spring. I do not think its a good idea to apply all sorts of chemicals to the grass at this time of year.
For myself I think October is the best time to sow grass seed, but as Ladybird as mentioned Spring is a good time to sow, with the problems you have I would apply Autumn weed and feed with moss killer this will get rid of your moss and weed problem and make the grass you have stronger for the winter,
I have a similar lawn
Last week I raked the moss out with an electric rake and as soon as we've had a bit of rain I'll scarify then top dress with some good top soil and scatter grass seed.
You can hire an electric rake/scarifier from Homebase and other places, or Screwfix have this one

(it was on special offer when I bought it last week - shame you've missed it
)
I'll use a 3 or 4 in one fertiliser/weed & moss killer lawn treatment next spring.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Many years of hard work and thinking goes into the formulation of products. I'm not sure that a couple of drops of baby shampoo will a. affect the efficacy or b. improve the wetting capabilities of your Weedol. The product developers will have given plenty of thought to their formulation...don't waste your shampoo.
I too applied Weedol last week and nothing happened. When I closely examined the dosage I found that my spray was too fine and I had underdosed by a considerable amount. The amount I'd made up went waaaaay further than it should.
I will reapply when the rain stops.
I am awaitig delivery of a scarifier/rake so I will attack the surface with that and in Spring I will apply my Evergreen 4 in 1 and attack it again.
I may be some time.....
