    Definitely not bay. I find that these Goat Willow seedlings often grow in bought compost so I wondered if the seeds are inside the compost or do they just drift in?

    Could be in compost, there are several plants in this garden that arrived with compost. Seeds do drift in but only if they're within reasonable distance.

    Thornapple and Shoofly plant definitely arrived in compost. When you get them in a dozen or more different seed pots there's not much doubt where they came from
