Watering

A week ago i planted a pot grown Rowan which is about 8 ft high.  I watered it well on planting and have given it 10 litres of water every day since.  There hadn't been any rain until today. I have heavy clay soil into which i mixed some compost.   I am not sure when i should reduce the amount of water and how often i should water in the autumn.  Any advice please.?

Hi Lisa. That is quite a big tree to transplant and as such it will need plenty of water (whilst it is dry) for the first couple of years until it finally settles in.
