Caterpillar ID please

Hello all, please can any of you help ID this caterpillar, spotted today by me at allotments in the south

  • Think I may have id' it   as a Lime Hawkmoth larva from this page

    Hollie hock was big found on floor on road way at allotments lucky not squished, may be it came from trees above I put it to safety

  • It is a hawk moth caterpillar. Could possibly be the Lime hawk moth.image

  • Pointy bit tail end buy the way it was rushing fast around my hands do come out amazing in pattern and colour

  • If it's rushing around it's likely to be looking for somewhere to pupate.  It needs a dry place near some tallish plats,  with friable soil it can bury itself in.

  • Hello Dove I put it in the conservation area with some nice plants, think it was going slower on the ground, the size is big of hawk moths,  such good to have wildlife on the allotments
