Best time to move fruit bushes

I've got a couple of young fruit bushes - a gooseberry and a blackcurrant. They're about 2 years old now, and I want to move them to a more suitable spot, Is it best to do this in autumn or spring?

I think it doesn't matter as long as the bushes are dormant. I would move them in Autumn while the soil is still relatively warm.

Best to move them from November to March when they're dormant.image

  • Thanks for your advice. I'll prepare the ground where I want them to go in the meantime.
