    Well that's the hard work done and to finish my day I was given a beautiful view to keep me interested and keen to come back monday

    I hate to " rain on your parade" but , unless that soil is very, very free draining. I'd have planted those with the rhizome on the surface, as they were in the first photo, before you dug them up.

    Maybe it's just the photo, but if you create an upturned V and sit the rhizome on top, and spread the roots down, that's the conventional approach. 

    If that's what you've done, I apologise.

    Yep that's what I did buried the roots just enough to anchor the plant also turned them in different directions this helps with flowering because they are all facing different directions they will warm up at different times thus putting on a better display.Any way no problem and no offence taken cheers lester

    Out of around 3 clumps which have never been divided before I have created around 70 iris plants 32 plants in the photo with another 40 waiting in the winds also whilst clearing the beds I lifted all the plants cleaned and washed them all to remove contamination and bind weed 

    Also replanted them removed 2 varieties of crocosmias around 100 cormes removed daisys  phlox  and some hellebore which I have potted up till I find space for them .

    all so your right I have been busy as always
