Water butt problem
My water butt recently started to overflow, and I have realised that the stand has started to sink, and the diverter is now not at the right level. I need to stop water going into the water butt, so that I can empty it, to move it temporarily and to slab the area underneath. What is the best way to temporarily stop the rain diverting from the downpipe into the butt.

Disconnect it from the water butt and tie it upwards on the down-pipe. Any water coming down will then cascade over the internal lip and carry-on its journey to the normal outlet.
Thank you, I thought it would probably be something as simple as that.
