Help with Plant ID's, please.

  • Just been down the road today and it's been chopped down!! image  It was opposite some cottages just growing up against a wall near the road. The leaves are quite long and straight. Do mallow like the rain cos there's a lot of it round here.

    Here's a couple more, 1st one from a garden and the other on a verge.imageimage

    First one is a Campanula possibly C. persicifolia and the pink one looks very much like Corn Cockle - a wild flower that is less common these days. Some one will be able to confirm this.

  • Thanks, if you google it, an article from the Guardian comes up called the 'Corncockle Kerfuffle' ! Interesting.

  • Will keep an eye on it so it survives and doesn't get tidied up!
