Dahlia division and storage?

Hello everyone. I have a Dahlia Water Lily. Is it too late in the year to divide it? And what is the best way to store the bulbs over winter? London climate here. Thanks

    Too late to divide, do it in Spring.

    Probably will survive outdoors in London, just give a good thick mulch.

    Thanks punkdoc.  Do I need to chop the foliage back before Winter...or just leave it and chop back in early Spring?

    I would chop it back in November time, or when it becomes blackened by frost.
