Hi mjd2000. The plant is Convolvulus cneorum.
Mediterranean beauty for a sunny well drained spot. Beautiful plant, up to about 1ft high and 3ft across.

You are most welcome. Depending where you are in the UK, it is not reliably hardy. I have tried several times to grow it here in the North West but without success. Too cold or too wet in my Winters. I may try again in a planter I can move into the greenhouse in Winter as it is a lovely plant.
It's a real shame it prefers such conditions because being such a striking silvery tone it works with so many plants. I try to use it in every planting scheme I plan. Does so well on the chalk down here. Trouble is, even when moved into a protected area for the colder months, it then is liable to rot because it hasn't the required airflow round it. Ladybird, suggest trying it on a west facing slope? Have you got one?!

Hi H-C. I don't unfortunately but do have a west facing border which will accommodate one. My greenhouse has a heater which circulates air during Winter months and I don't keep too much in there.
