I'm afraid this is how it goes with runner beans. Although misting is a good idea, the flowers don't seem to set very well in very warm weather. Give it another week or two, when the nights get cool, I'm sure you'll see a big improvement.
I would just say, that the white flower variety 'White Lady' is one of the best for flower setting in hot weather.....apart from being an excellent cropper of stringless & tasty beans.
