i have just bought some tiger lily tulip bulbs and they all look diseased, i looks like tiny eggs, or possibly excrement of some kind of insect, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I would take them back to wherever you got them from rachel. If you can put up a picture it may be easier to tell you what the problem is.

Complain at once to the supplier. Bulbs should look smooth and healthy, no sign or rot or mould. Planting substandard bulbs could lead to disease spreading.

Where did you get them from? They look like last year's that have been packed in perlite or something. It's not how I would expect tulip bulbs to look.

Rachel, they are an absolute disgrace. I would be on to the suppliers asap. How they had the nerve to send out something as poor quality as that is beyond belief.

Let us know who it was so we can avoid.

p.p.s. I think that is a mould growing on the bulb.
