I agree about the whole "elitist" thing about golf.

The Men's team captain has his designated parking space, ditto the Women's tc , the golf pro.

It's knocking a ball into holes using different sticks. Get over it.

I know there's skill involved, but there's skill in lots of other , more useful things.

Agree re golf, as Oscar Wilde said: "a good walk spoilt"

I know this will upset most of you, but I had a massive amount of respect for Blair. Yes he made a terrible mistake, but of the last many generations of politicians, he was the only one, that significantly decreased the number of children in poverty. There I have said it, late the hatred commence.

Sorry, I don't get Opera, but love many types of "modern" and old pop music.

Don't get Bake Off, or Strictly Come Dancing.

How can you lie there and think of England

Love bake off, but hate Strictly. Why all that hooting and screeching throughout? Another vile american import.

Think it was Mark Twain, not dear Oscar punkdoc. sorry.

With you Hosta but its not the screeching, Bake Off is encouraging, positive, generous whilst Strictly seems to revel in criticism, negativity and aggressive competition. Maybe that's what 'I don't get' why stuff has to be nasty to be entertaining?

couldn't have put it better myself hebaceous.

One or two in the midst of our forum seem to delight in the

    ", negativity and aggressive competition"

    I "don't get that" either.

I guess its a good place to let off steam Hosta? Have to admit to indulging in a good moan every now and then myself, saves having to go deface a public building with spray paint image

having a good moan is all well and good. but one or two seem to delight in being deliberately antagonistic.

Didn't know you were an artist herbaceous. May we see some of your finer works before they are wiped off by philistines doing community service?

You are very kind B3 but really those philistines would be doing good in this case. Anyway, gave up anarchy when climbing trees was introduced - maybe not giving up completely but choosing a different way these days. Watch out everyone, maybe I'm a snoop image image image a plant image OK I'm going and taking my bad jokes with me.......................................
